My name is Ina Sison and I am a junior Architectural Engineering major in the BS/MS program. I have no specific experience with intelligent buildings, however, I have done co-ops at two MEP firms that have worked on various types of buildings.

My expectations for the class is that I will gain more experience with BIM software, and learn how to use other software that are relevant to building design.

The Evernote search that I found most interesting was about 3D printed homes. I stumbled upon this article when I searched "manufacturing". The article, “A 3D Print Out You Could Call Home”, discussed how 3D printers are being used to quickly construct buildings. The buildings that are built are great for temporary purposes, such as emergency shelters.

My initial definition of intelligent buildings was "an adaptable building that can be easily controlled and modified to meet the demands of the occupants."
